Seven European countries have aligned themselves with sanctions imposed by the European Union on a number of Belarusian individuals and economic entities, Catherine Ashton reported.
These countries are Albania, Croatia, Iceland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Liechtenstein, and Serbia. According to the statement, the countries will ensure that their national policies conform to the EU restrictive measures.
“The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it,” Ms. Ashton said.
