Iranian government prohibited the women to watch Euro 2012 games in bars, cafes and restaurants if they are accompanied by males.
According to authorities, this may damage women’s moral make-up.
“The situation when males and females watch football together is inappropriate,” said the Chief of the Iranian Police.
“Men are excited during the game: they may behave themselves vulgar and allow themselves dirty jokes. Women should not join such companies. I think women should be grateful to the police for such a decision.”
