National Bank Welcomes Big Capitals

Large banks with the initial capital of at least €25mln are expected to come to Belarus.

The National Bank would welcome the arrival of a serious player with a large initial capital of at least €25 million in the Belarusian banking market. This was stated by Chairman of the National Bank Nadezhda Ermakova. According to her, there are enough banks in Belarus. However they lack the resource base.

As it was reported before, the National Bank of Belarus increased the minimum authorized capital for new and reorganized banks from 5 to 25 million Euros.
