“These funds have been included in the budget estimates.”
Belarus plans to get the loan from the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund in full, said the Finance Minister of Belarus Andrej Kharkaviec.
“These funds have been included in the budget estimates. We expect to receive the loan in full volume because we have agreed on the program of action,” the Minister noted.
“We have successfully fulfilled the obligations undertaken under the program,” said Mr. Kharkaviec.
“Of 17 targets that we were expected to reach to receive the third tranche we met 15 fully.
“We failed to reach two targets. We did not ensure the planned level of compensation for public utility services and transport fares. But again, this is the policy of the government to maintain the standard of living in the country. In addition, they could not be met technically because the structure of value of these services changed drastically due to the devaluation processes,” he said.
“That is why we count on these loans in the future. These loans are among the most convenient resources the country gets today. These loans are good for the economy for financing and replenishing the gold and foreign currency reserves as well as for continuing a coherent macroeconomic policy,” the minister said.
The negotiations on allocating the fourth tranche of EurAsEC Anti-Crisis fund loan to Belarus are going to take place in September–October, 2012, announced Andrej Kharkaviec.
