It took 10 months and taxpayers’ $5,000 to shoot a “beautiful” video.
The National Agency on Tourism commissioned a video clip displaying the main sights of the country.
It took the BelMediaProduction company 10 months and ca. $5,000 to shoot a 1-minute long clip.
The National Agency on Tourism requested to “show the tourism infrastructure objects as Mir Castle, Belavezhskaja forest, Minsk Arena, the National Library, countryside complexes, night clubs, casinos, etc.”
The video was also required to be “beautiful.”
The video clip was launched on YouTube on June 15, 2012, despite of the planned launch on September 26, 2011.
However, many people who commented on YouTube were anxious about Belarus’ being presented as casino and strip clubs country.
