Belarusian architecture student will present Belarus at world’s most prestigious beauty contest in Ordos, China.
The winner of the national beauty pageant, Julija Skalkovich, 20, is going to represent Belarus at the Miss World contest.
The Miss World 2012 finals will be held in Ordos, China, on August 18. However, Julija will leave for China in a day, on July 18.
The schedule of the beauty pageant is packed with such events as excursions, press conferences, receptions, photo shoots, and daily rehearsals. Throughout the duration of the contest, winners in the following challenge events will be chosen: Beach Beauty, Sports and Fitness, Performing Talent, Top Model, Multimedia Award, Beauty with a Purpose. The winners will automatically proceed to the semi-final.
The Miss World Multimedia Award will be presented for the first time. Contestants will be able to upload videos, images and messages. The contestant presentations will also allow fans to follow and interact with all of the Miss World contestants in the build up to the Miss World finals on 18 August. Viewers will be able to vote for the blogs of the beauties via the official website of the Miss World contest. The winner will be determined by spectators.
