Russia attempts to prevent illegal exports of gasoline from Belarus.
Russia’s official entities are now considering the possibility to impose export duty on solvents exported from Belarus and raise it to the rate of duties on gasoline set within the Customs Union, Interfax reports.
Russian party is sure that Belarus — which has recently drastically increased the imports of Russian oil and simultaneously the exports of solvents and thinners — sell gasoline under the guise of thinners and solvents.
The export duty on thinners and solvents equals 0%, at the same time the duty on gasoline equals 90% of duty on oil.
Russia also suggested Belarus holding an investigation to find out which enterprises illegally exported gasoline as solvents or thinners.
