Comparison is the key.
Artist Gustavo Sousa decided to use world-known Olympic rings to remind especially popular this summer to remind people of world’s issues. The infographics project called oceaniaeuropeamericasafricaasia does not provide figures but gives a wonderful chance to compare.
“The rings represent healthy competition and union, but we know the world isn’t perfect. Maybe understanding the differences is the first step to try to make things more equal,” says Gustavo.
The project counts 16 prints: one for each Olympic day. Blue ring stands for Oceania, black for Europe, red for two Americas, yellow for Africa and green for Asia.
