This is her fourth win at the Olympics. Viktoryja Azaranka made hard work of her first-round win against Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu (No. 79), 6:1, 3:6, 6:1. Then marking her 23rd birthday she beat Spain’s Maria Martinez Sanchez 6:2, 6:1.
In semifinal, Azaranka is going to compete with Serena Williams who beat Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark 6:0, 6:3.
