Jury Chizh's company exports now equals the same of Russia's largest oil traders.
Triple, a conglomerate controlled by business tycoon Jury Chyzh, has signed a $4.4bln contract with Russia’s oil company Bashneft for the export of petroleum products, reported the RBK daily.
The contract, in force until July 31, 2013, and may be extended for another year, makes Triple one of the largest exporters of Russian petroleum products, ej.by reports.
This contract equated Triple oil exports to the same of Russia's largest oil traders: Vitol, Glencore, Litasco and Somitekno.
Jury Chyzh, 48, — who is spoken of as Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s ‘shadow banker’ and is his regular hockey companion — and 18 companies and organizations belonging to Mr. Chyzh were added on the EU’s blacklist in March 2012 for providing financial support to the Lukashenka regime.
