Belarusian government on August 1 raised the rates of excise duty on alcohol and motor fuel.
The rate of excise duty on “brand strong fruit wines of improved quality” will be 36.5 percent more than before. The excise duty rate was raised by 13.8 percent for natural alcoholic beverages with a low alcohol content, by 4.4 percent for natural wines, including sparkling wines, and by 3.5 percent for “natural fruit and berry wines” and ciders.
What fuel is concerned, the excise duty rates for gasoline and diesel fuel were raised by 10 percent. A zero rate will be applied to diesel fuel for the production of biodiesel fuel.
