Victoryja Azaranka Wins US Open First Round

Azaranka remains the WTA's top tennis player for 8 weeks already.

Viktoryja Azaranka, Belarusian top tennis star, successfully passed to the second round of the US Open by defeating Russia's 76th-ranked Alexandra Panova 6-0, 6-1 in 50 minutes on Monday on the Flushing Meadows hardcourts.

Azaranka will next face Kirsten Flipkens from Belgium.

Viktoryaj Azaranka has been the top tennis player of the Women’s Tennis Association rating for eight weeks already leaving Polish Agnieszka Radwanska in the second place and Russian Maria Sharapova in the third.
