A mushroomer was attacked by a European bison in forest, BelTA says. The resident of village Porazava went to pick mushrooms in the local forest and incidentally met a European bison.
The bison attacked the man and tossed him. When man’s coat became torn, and he fell on the ground, the bison hit him in the chest with legs for several times. The mushroomer tried to protect himself with a mushroom basket. However, probably scared of the loud cries of the victim, the bison ran away.
The man was slightly injured in the incident, he required no special medical assistance.
The man said he was aware of bisons living there, however they usually do not approach people.
