In the mixed doubles Olympic champion Max Mirny of Belarus and his partner Liezel Huber of the U.S. advanced into the US Open mixed doubles semifinal. In the quarterfinals the Belarusian-American top-seeded tandem outplayed Spanish pair David Marrero and Nuria Vives 6-1, 7-5 to face an international duet Kveta Peschke (the Czech Republic) and Marcin Martowski (Poland) in the semifinal.
