Russia creates favourable conditions for Belarus, Valery Bandarenko says.
Russia’s support to Belarus exceeded $6bln in 2012, Russia’s embassy senior counselor Valery Bandarenko told.
“This year, Belarus additionally received more than $6bln through significantly reduced gas prices, unhindered oil products shipments and other favourable conditions,” he said.
The diplomat also sees no ground for new Russia–Belarus conflicts, RFE/RL says.
“Bilateral relations are never smooth. We are two independent sovereign states with its interests, principles and laws,” Mr. Bondarenko told.
Speaking on bilateral relations, he also noted that “sometimes, emotions enter the game. However, the issues are not stored in a dead end, but solved.”
