Belarusian President called to congratulate Putin the APEC summit in Vladivostok.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka on September 11 had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, initiated by the Belarusian leader, Lukashenka and Putin “discussed certain issues on the bilateral agenda,” reported the Kremlin press office.
“Aliaksandr Lukashenka praised the results of the APEC summit in Vladivostok and congratulated Vladimir Putin on the successful hosting of this important international forum,” the press office said.
The 24th annual summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), a forum of 21 Pacific Rim countries, was held in Vladivostok between September 8 and 9.
The APEC member economies reportedly account for about 50 percent of the world’s GDP and 46 percent of the world’s trade volume.
