Lukashenka: Let Rich Pay 150% of Utility Costs
There is a plan to introduce 100 per cent payment for utility. However, issues still arise: whether to launch differentiated tariffs or to give people with low income discounts. Aliaksandr Lukashenka shared his opinion, TVR says
“Let the rich pay 120–150 per cent of utility fees costs. A poor person will pay 25–30 per cent then — and the problem is solved.”
“But you haven’t made any progress on the issue in the government,” Lukashenka said. “As you’re not poor, you think you will have to pay 120 per cent of the cost some time. So I will give you the money.”
