The US Democratic National Convention was held on September 4–6. The main event of the convention was the nomination of Barak Obama the official democratic candidate. The congress also reminded about the merits of US military veterans.
To pay his patriotic tribute, ex-Admiral John Nathman delivered a speech. Warships on a giant screen behind him were highlighting the Navy might of the US. Everything looked solid and monumental except one small detail: the warships on the screen belonged to another superpower — Russia.
“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”
