A “room of anger” may appear in Vilniaus Rotušė (Vilnius City Hall), Lithuania. Creation of such a room will be considered by Vilnius administration special commission.
Vydutis Bareikis — the author of the idea — says that the City Hall had to lay off several workers due to the recession and the workload of the remaining employees increased drastically since 2008.
Bareikis says the rooms of anger are popular in many countries as effective means of stress relief — especially in Japan.
The author does not mention the equipment of the room. But delfi.lt says that usually such rooms are equipped with scale models of offices which can be broken or with “dummy bosses” who may be beaten.
Vilnius mayor Arturas Zuokas does not mind junior employees kicking a dummy of him if it increases their efficiency.
