On September 14th Belarusian Kaciaryna Buraja won the international pageant Miss Supranational 2012, which takes place on Poland’s capital Warsaw. Nanthawan Wannachutha from Thailand came second, Michaela Dihlová from Czech Republic came third, Elaine Kay Moll from Philippine came fourth, and Sulay Castillo from Ecuador came fifth.
In total 20 girls made it to the semifinal. The representatives of Spain, Puerto Rico, South Africa, England, Honduras, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Canada, Panama, Poland, Costa Rica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Island, France and Suriname also participated in the semifinal.
Miss Supranational Africa was awarded to Michelle Giden-Huys from South Africa. The most beautiful girl of both Americas is Elissa Estrada from Panama, and of Asia – Lại Hương Thảo from Vietnam. Whereas, Europe’s beauty is Julia Prokopenko from Denmark.
Altogether the representatives of 53 countries took part in the competition.
Kaciaryna Buraja is from Bobruisk Babrujsk, Belarus. This year she graduated Minsk State Linguistic University and is now a specialist for intercultural relations in travel industry. Kaciaryna is fond of Gabriel Garcia Marquez; she is keen on sport and just recently has started boxing. TV viewers know her form Miss Belarus 2008, when she made it to the final.
