Al Jazeera channel in its recent reportage from Minsk tells that ex-presidential candidate Jaraslau Ramanchuk is going to participate in presidential elections of 2015. Furthermore, he was shown the person willing to unite the opposition forces.
However, Jaraslau Ramanchuk turned out to be not that eager to achieve either of the goals as he called the reportage by the Arab TV channel “news fraud.”
“I did meet with Al Jazeera crew when they came to Minsk to cover the parliamentary elections, but they distorted the sense of my words,” Ramanchuk says in an interview with BelaPAN.
“I told them it is long time until 2015 and anything may happen, but they — probably because of the lack of sensations — interpreted it their own way.”
“There is nothing to discuss. Full stop! I do analytics, I write books and I am not going to alter anything in the nearest future.”
Ramanchuk’s allegations to unite the opposition and to became a presidential candidate again sound dubious for Belarusians as Jaraslau Ramanchuk after the brutal dispersion of the peaceful protest rally on December 19, 2010, appeared on the state-controlled TV slamming — as said under the pressure of authorities — other opposition candidates. Later, he personally met with Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
