A one-stop website for foreign investors is now operational in Belarus, BelTA learnt from the National Agency for Investment and Privatization (NAIP).
The NAIP informed that the website is meant for potential investors and is available in Russian and English. The portal informs visitors about investment opportunities in Belarus.
The database of investment projects to be implemented in Belarus is the central part of the website investinbelarus.by. “The database boasts convenient search with criteria such as industry, region, amount of investments, payback period and form of investment”, the NAIP specialists informed. The database is updated upon receiving new information from ministries, concerns, local executive authorities and Belarusian companies.
The website features about 50 investment projects graded according to the level of elaboration. The agency has also prepared visual presentations with a brief description of investment projects, market analysis, competitive advantages and other information relevant for decision making.
The website informs potential investors about the investment climate and advantages of investing in Belarus, procedures to start a business, guarantees and preferences for investors. A separate block deals with investment in priority sectors and regional opportunities.
One of the sections of the website is dedicated to the Agency’s activities for improvement of the efficiency of privatization process in Belarus. At present a pilot privatization project is underway in Belarus to find investors for eight companies. “The website provides extensive information about the implementation of a particular project, about companies slated for privatization, and progressive global technologies used by Belarus to find strategic investors. Such information ensures an absolute transparency of the privatization process,” the NAIP is convinced.
