Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the United Nations Organization were discussed in a meeting between Foreign Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Makiej and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on 2 October, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Uladzimir Makiej confirmed invitation of the UN Secretary General to visit Belarus.
The Foreign Minister of Belarus held talks with Secretary General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Ahmet Uzumcu. The sides discussed steps to develop cooperation between Belarus and the UN.
