There are plans to arrange a beer festival in Belarus, Liubou Maksimava, the head of the Planning and Tourism Organization Office of the Tourism Department of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry.
Possible locations to arrange the beer festival are under consideration. A Belarusian brewery is expected to be one of the organizers of the annual festival. Some potential participants of the market have already expressed their desire to take part in the project.
The new beer festival in Belarus can become an event similar to the Oktoberfest, an annual celebration held in Bavaria, Germany that attracts millions of tourists. Although the Belarusian event will be held on a smaller scale, it is expected to gather beer lovers from Belarus and neighboring countries.
The Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry is also in favor of creating museums and tasting rooms at enterprises. Tourists should be demonstrated the technologies used to make beverages. Samples of the products should be available as well as the ability to buy ready-made products. Such excursions are popular abroad. They will be popular in Belarus, too, Liubou Maksimava is convinced.
