It is too early to talk about the introduction of a common currency in the Union State of Belarus and Russia, Nadzieja Jermakova, head of the National Bank, told reporters in Minsk on Thursday.
“I wouldn't say this is of great interest to us at present,” Ms. Jermakova said.
She noted that the Union State should have a constitution before introducing a common currency.
“For the time being, there has been no constitution, and therefore it's too early to talk about a common currency,” she said.
