Belarus will not put the clocks one hour back on the night between October 27 and 28, said the press office of the State Standardization Agency.
In 2011, Russia scrapped winter time and Belarus followed suit, a decision that was criticized by many.
Experts argued that the annual transition from daylight saving time to winter time disrupted people's biological clocks. However, many now oppose a permanent daylight saving time, pointing to late sunrises in winter and the rising time difference with European countries.
