Russian Ambassador Demands Shipping 6mln Tones Oil Products Claiming Belarus Violated Agreement
Russia expects Belarus to supply ca. 6mln tones of oil products refined from Russian oil by the end of 2012. Such figures are mentioned in the financial statement of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on fuel and energy resources for 2012, PRIME-TASS says.
“Russian party was keeping to the obligations on oil and oil products shipments. We supplied even more than prescribed by the financial statement in the first 9 months [of 2012],” Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov said.
“But there were no reverse oil products supply from Belarus to Russia. The market suffered, the prices went up. Around 6mln tones have to be shipped from Belarus to Russian market, but according to the Belarusian statistics 98,700 tones were shipped in 6 months,” he noted.
“All figures are settled and signed, so this must be executed,” Surikov stressed.
