Belarusian embassy together with Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry and national tourism agency organized an event in Vilnius presenting the opportunities for the development of Lithuania – Belarus tourism.
It was said that the development of the Belarus tourism and greater publicity of services would help to achieve closer economic and cultural relations of Lithuania and Belarus.
“Last year, 2.260 million of Belarusian citizens visited Lithuania, while Belarus was visited by 1.880 million of Lithuanians. We strive to develop further tourism process which has been growing over the last 5 – 6 years,” said Belarusian ambassador to Lithuania Uladzimir Drazin.
Drazin says that Belarus is very interested in increasing the inbound tourism from Lithuania.
Director General of Lithuanian State Department of Tourism Raimonda Balniene says that Lithuania is in the second according to the number of tourists arriving from Belarus.
