Official Opening of New Metro Stations in Minsk: For Top Officials Only
Minsk metro added three new stations.
Three new stations of the Minsk metro — Hrushauka, Mikhalava and Piatroushchyna — officially opened on November 6. The opening ceremony was visited by Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Minsk mayor Mikalaj Laducka.
People came to see both the new stations and the top officials.
However, neither common people nor journalists were allowed inside the station: on November 6, the stations were “officially opened” for top officials and journalists of state-owned media. The passengers may use the station from today’s morning.
At the opening ceremony Lukashenka gave interview to pro-state media, the development of public transport was not the main topic Lukashenka touched upon.
