Belarusian energy workers switch to enhanced operation mode

Starting today, cold Arctic air masses are expected from Northern Europe, leading to a drop in temperature. It might get colder down to minus 25-30 degrees Celsius.

Energy supply organizations have been put on high alert, according to the Ministry of Energy.

Enhanced control over the operation of substation equipment and power lines is in place, and backup power sources have been prepared. 673 emergency recovery brigades, totaling about 2.5 thousand people, are ready to eliminate possible technological disruptions. They are equipped with the necessary protective gear, tools, and specialized machinery.

To maintain a comfortable temperature regime in residential areas during severe frosts, the temperature in heating networks has been increased.

Constant interaction has been established with the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, local authorities, and Belgidromet services.
