At this testing ground, various missiles are tested — both short- and medium-range, cruise missiles, and air defense systems. It was from here that Russia launched an 'Oreshnik' missile strike on the outskirts of Lviv on January 8.
Previously, in July 2024, Ukrainian drones had already attacked 'Kapustin Yar', damaging buildings at the testing ground. Russian media then published a video showing drones hitting the assembly and testing facility.
