«Felix needs time to adapt, and they are ready to help him, warm him up, and love him». The story of how Roman Tsymberau's cat found a new home

An acquaintance of publisher Roman Tsymberau, who suddenly passed away this week, wrote on social media about how his cat found a new home.

Two days ago, all of us together — one might say, the entire Facebook community — were looking for a home for Felix the cat, orphaned after the death of Roman Tsymberau. In the morning, I wrote a post, and it began to travel from feed to feed. And then — just a few hours later — I saw a message that someone was ready to take the cat.

And then Margarita and I started chatting, and I learned from her that she had shown a photo of Felix the cat to her colleague. Their beloved cat had recently died of old age — also ginger, also named Felix (!) and they were grieving terribly without him, especially the colleague's husband.

And they really want to have a beloved ginger cat living with them again.

Yesterday evening, Felix left for Slutsk, to his new home.

They took his bed and toys, his litter box, and a supply of his usual food and litter. Everyone understands that the cat needs time to adapt, and they are ready to help him, warm him up, and love him.

That's how people found their cat, and the cat (I really hope so!) found his people.

When I read that Felix had arrived at his new home, I started crying again. This time – from joy, that everything worked out. Now there is so much pain and hatred around us; sometimes it seems that the world simply crumbles in our hands the moment we touch it.

But here we did it! All together! And the people who also wrote about the cat, and those who reposted from my page (you never know where it will work), and the wonderful Margarita, who immediately responded, wrote to me and the child, helped transport Felix to Slutsk, to the family who immediately said «yes» to Felix.

Such an ordinary miracle. A chain of accidental and non-accidental coincidences. Love cannot conquer death. But if somewhere there is an orphaned ginger cat, to whom an orphaned person extends a hand — death steps back one pace,» she wrote.
