A new specialization — «cybersecurity» — will appear at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. This was reported to BelTA by the Rector of the university, Vadim Bogush, at the 23rd specialized exhibition for schoolchildren, applicants, and students «Education and Career».
The new specialization will appear within the «information protection» specialty.
«This year, we significantly redesigned the information security specialty, and in this admission campaign, we will recruit for a specialization related to cybersecurity. Applicants who are interested in aspects of information protection and cybersecurity will be able to link their future with BSUIR and with new solutions in this field. This is a new profile within the «information protection» specialty,» — said Vadim Bogush.
Training of specialists in the new profile will begin on September 1st.
Another new development is that targeted training at the university will now only be conducted for specialties in demand by the economy. Their list can already be found on the university's website.
