Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan apologized to his civil wife Anna Hakobyan after she announced the end of their relationship. The politician offered his apologies on his Telegram channel.

"I respect Anna's decision. For the last 30 years, she has been by my side through all difficult times, my refuge and support. I'm not sure I was the same. Perhaps I caused her even more grief, for which I apologize," the prime minister stated.
Hakobyan had earlier written on Facebook that she was leaving their shared home.
"As I already announced, my marriage with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is dissolved. Today, February 25, I am leaving the government residence," she reported.
She also did not rule out the possibility of a criminal case being initiated against her. "Such a course of events is possible. We will see what happens," Hakobyan noted.
On February 17, Hakobyan reported that her civil marriage with the Armenian Prime Minister had ended. At the time, she did not specify whether they had been officially married or if the couple had divorced.
