Lukashenka: I'm not saying we will strike Vilnius, Warsaw, or Kyiv with "Oreshnik" tomorrow
During a visit to the Drybin district, Lukashenka commented to journalists on Ukraine's statements that the "Oreshnik" missile system deployed on Belarusian territory should be considered a legitimate target by NATO, БелТА writes.
"This is not even an information occasion. This is real nonsense, and fools are talking about it. I'm not saying that we will strike Vilnius, Warsaw, or Kyiv with this 'Oreshnik' tomorrow. God forbid. That is not our task. We need to protect our country. And so that 'Oreshnik' doesn't strike, don't come to us. Neither from Ukraine, nor from Poland, nor from Lithuania, nor from Latvia. Let's resolve issues in a human way," he said.
"Let them consider it a legitimate target. They were outraged, they cried, now they've quieted down – what I consider a legitimate target for the Armed Forces of Belarus. I am not threatening. So that they don't tear this out of context again and start," noted Alexander Lukashenka. — "What, do you think if they consider objects on Belarusian territory legitimate targets, I will sleep and watch? I can reach 70 km, 200 km. We have ways to reach them. So I would advise them not to wag their tongues and not to yap. Consider 'Oreshnik' a legitimate target – please."
He also pointed out that "Oreshnik" is mobile weaponry.
"A dozen false targets. That means 10 vehicles will go out on the route. Looked from above – ten 'Oreshniks'. But it will be one. Therefore, for any poison, there is always an antidote," Lukashenka stated.
