As of March 12, 2026, authorized dealers of SZAO "BelGee" have stopped accepting Geely cars purchased not through the official dealer network in Belarus for service, the company announced on its website.

The reason given is that Chinese-specification cars differ from Belarusian models. Official service stations lack technical and repair documentation for such versions, and diagnostic equipment is certified only for cars sold through official dealers.
Chinese versions have different electronic control unit firmware, incompatible spare parts catalogs, and other structural differences. Performing service work without appropriate documentation can be dangerous for the car and its owner.
Warranty and legal protection from official dealers, therefore, apply only to cars purchased through legal channels. Servicing "parallel imports" carries legal and reputational risks for both the client and the dealer.
Gennady Svidzersky, director of SZAO "BelGee," noted that the decision to limit service is a concern for the safety and interests of customers. He emphasized that responsibility for the quality of service intervention is possible only where there is full documentation and certified equipment.
