In Russia, a verdict has been rendered against the stepson of a famous artist — he killed his own grandmother and brother
The man killed his 85-year-old grandmother with a hammer and stabbed his 30-year-old brother in a house near Moscow three years ago.

As the "Ostorozhno, Novosti" (Caution, News) channel writes, Roman Tkachenko, stepson of Stas Namin, has been found guilty of double murder.
In October 2023, he killed his grandmother with a hammer out of jealousy towards his younger brother Artyom. He came to her with a friend, and his grandmother began to lecture him because his brother "was much more successful," while the man himself was addicted to drugs.
When his friend left and his grandmother fell asleep, Roman killed the woman with a hammer. After that, the man called his brother Artyom and asked him to come. After a prolonged chase through the house, he stabbed his brother and called his mother to confess everything.
During the arguments between the parties, the defense tried to prove that the man was in a state of passion at the time of the murder. However, the prosecution deemed these arguments unfounded.
He was sentenced to 18 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
In his final statement, the rock musician's stepson repented: "It's a great punishment to realize that I did this. I sincerely loved my grandmother and Artyom. My grandmother raised me. I raised Artyom. I can't imagine how this happened."
After this, Tkachenko fell to his knees before his mother and burst into tears.
The defendant's relationship with his stepfather — Stas Namin — was always cold, as both of them noted. The famous rock musician is considered a victim in the case, Russian channels report.
