The German Embassy in Belarus reported on the first visit to Minsk by Benjamin Walter, who was appointed as the Desk Officer for Belarus at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs last October.

"We were very happy to welcome our colleague Benjamin Walter during his first trip to Belarus. Along with many important negotiations, we also found time for more informal matters. Look at our attempt to turn our guest from Berlin into a real Belarusian! What did we forget?", such a post appeared on the embassy's Facebook page.
The published video shows the German diplomat tasting Belarusian dishes in a restaurant, drinking Belarusian beverages, and visiting various Minsk locations like Komarovsky Market.
It has not yet been reported what specific issues Benjamin Walter addressed in Minsk and whom among the officials he met during his visit.
