A new stage in the construction of a military training ground begins on the border with Ukraine
In the Gomel region, in close proximity to the border with Ukraine, a new stage of large-scale construction of a military facility is being prepared. The announced tender does not contain detailed documentation, however, "Flagstok" identified this project as a new military training ground. A total of 400 million rubles will be allocated for it.

A new stage in the construction of a military training ground begins on the border with Ukraine
JSC "Gomel House-Building Combine" has announced a large tender for the amount of almost 65 million 830 thousand rubles (more than 22.3 million US dollars). The wording of the procurement sounds like this: selection of a subcontractor organization to perform works on the construction of the object "Construction of an object in the Gomel region. Engineering and transport infrastructure."
What kind of mysterious object it is – is not specified. Moreover, no documentation is attached to the tender. But, as "Flagstok" found out, it is the Gomel House-Building Combine that is engaged in the construction of a military training ground in the Rechytsa district and refers to it in procurements precisely as an "object", creating secrecy around the construction of the training ground.
The period for the provision of services is specified as from April 7, 2026, to April 15, 2027.
This means that within a year, the subcontractor must construct engineering and transport infrastructure: roads, electricity and water supply, as well as other communications.
As "Flagstok" reported, the State Investment Program in 2026 allocated 15 million rubles for the construction of the training ground, and in 2027 and 2028, another 150 million and 245.7 million, respectively, are to be allocated.

The training ground will appear in the area of "Yakimaŭka" station in the Rechytsa district — a site for its construction is currently being prepared, where trees are being cut down and uprooted.
As can be seen from satellite images, clearings continued to be cut at the end of March. From the station to the training ground, the removal of trees is visible for several tens of meters from the road.
