A large bear has been recorded in the Krupsk district. The animal was captured by a surveillance camera in the forest. The video, published by the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen, quickly spread across social networks, sparking active discussion, writes «Smartpress».
According to hunters' reports, a truly large specimen is visible in the footage — it was even called a «giant». It is believed to be an adult male surveying its territory.

Bears in Belarus are most often found in the northern and northeastern regions, especially in the Vitebsk region. However, in recent years, they have been increasingly appearing in the northern districts of the Minsk region as well. This is due to the gradual recovery of the population and the increase in the number of animals.
Bears usually choose secluded forest areas with swamps, rivers, and lakes, where there are fewer people and sufficient food. Therefore, encounters with them most often occur in natural areas less touched by humans.
