Several European presidents refused to participate in the summit.
This decision was reported by Aliaksandr Dzikusaraw, Speaker of Foreign Ministry of Ukraine at briefing in Kiev.
“It was decided to postpone and not to hold the 18th annual Yalta summit of central European countries on May 11—12 as several European presidents cannot attend it,” said Mr. Dzikusaraw.
Mr. Dzikusaraw also mentioned that the summit will be postponed. The dates of the summit will be clarified later.
As it was reported before, presidents of Romania, Albania, Croatia, Czech Republic and Montenegro refused to participate in the 18th annual Yalta summit of central European countries as a protest against Yulia Tymoshenko imprisonment. President of Germany didn’t state the refusal straight, but it was obvious from Germany Foreign Minister’s words.
