Previously EurAsEc stated that Belarus didn't meet the conditions for the loan allocation
The decision to allocate a regular third tranche of the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund loan has been made. Negotiations on allocating a fourth tranche are about to begin, President of Russia Vladimir Putin told media after meeting with President of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka on 31 May.
Vladimir Putin said: “We are satisfied that it has been advisable and possible to do taking into account the positive pace the Belarusian economy is gaining. Trade figures confirm it, too. This year the trade turnover has increased by nearly 30%. It is a serious indicator”.
In his opinion, it testifies to the fact that the rapidly developing integration processes between Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan have manifested themselves in a very positive way.
The President of Russia stressed: “Once again we have confirmed that an absolutely correct cooperation strategy had been chosen and we have agreed to keep up the pace during the transition to a quality new integration stage — the Eurasian Economic Union”. He also remarked that joint projects in energy industry, mechanical engineering, and cutting-edge technologies are expected to produce serious benefits.
In his words, in this regard the project to build the Belarusian nuclear power plant is of special importance. It has every chance to become the largest and most up-to-date project in the history of the bilateral relations.
