Independent Observers’ Figures on Voting Turnout Differ Drastically from Official
According to the independent elections observers, voting turnout was 34.4 per cent as of 16:00 Minsk time, early voting included, BelaPAN says.
The Belarusian Christian Democracy (BCD) member Dzianis Sadouski said their party has around 200 observers at polling stations around Belarus. He also mentioned the figured by the BCD does not differ from the figures by other independent monitors.
“Our figures mainly coincide. The difference makes not more than 3 per cent which is within calculation error or statistics error,” he noted.
He also says the official data on voting turnout are farcified and the turnout is less than 50 per cent.
The figures provided by the independent observer are really more humble ones than provided by the Central Election Commission. Thus, the CEC reports that 58.6 per cent Belarusian voted today by 16:00, early voting results included.
