Famous Belarusian-born gymnast Tacciana Tur was seriously injured when at her performance in the Centre of Circus Art in Moscow on October 23, BelTA says.
She fell on her neck while doing a somersault.
In hospital, after Tacciana Tur had been diagnosed with the dislocation of a jugular vertebra, she was operated.
Doctors say she will be able to be back in circus after a recovery course.
“The operation was very successful, she can move both legs. The rest is the matter of recovery. She will be back to work, everything will be OK. Tacciana did not break her neck, she had the dislocation of the sixth jugular vertebra,” Tacciana Tur’s associate told RIA Novosti.
Tacciana Tur, 26, was born in Homiel, Belarus. She started doing gymnastics when she was five. She is famous for participation in the shows of Brothers Zapashny Circus. Tacciana Tur married her show partner Sergei Yatsky few days before the incident.
