Belkoopsayuz explained the requirements for apples stored in stabilization funds. According to Alexey Sirotin, head of the procurement and foreign economic activity department, product acceptance strictly adheres to state standards and technical conditions, including size, writes BelTA.

For apples, the minimum fruit weight is now set at 90 g, and the diameter in cross-section is not less than 60 mm. This is higher than previous parameters, which depended on the variety.
These requirements are introduced to guarantee high product quality, especially during the off-season, and to ensure reliable supplies for consumers.
In addition, within the framework of the state order, there is a single form of a standard agreement where volumes, prices, and penalties for non-fulfillment of obligations are fixed. Suppliers are responsible for non-delivery, and buyers are responsible for not collecting products. The penalty is 20% of the value of the uncollected goods.
