Alyona Lanskaya admitted that her father died of coronavirus at the height of the pandemic
This happened at the very time when restrictions were being imposed worldwide to protect people from the disease. Lukashenka did not recognize COVID and urged people to treat it with vodka and a tractor.

On her way to preparatory events for the next All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Alyona Lanskaya told her subscribers about a tragic date for her family.
Exactly five years ago, her father Mikhail died of coronavirus.
«There are terrible days in my memory, they are few, but they take away a part of my soul. It was COVID, which at that time no one understood how to treat… And now it almost doesn't exist. December 17, 2020, you were gone, dad. Only 62…», — Alyona shared in an Instagram story.

Recall: at that very time, it was the height of the pandemic, and countries around the world were introducing various restrictions — from mandatory mask-wearing to lockdowns.
The Belarusian authorities at that time simply tried to pretend that such a problem did not exist in our country. Statistics on morbidity and mortality were hidden, even officials were afraid to wear masks so as not to irritate Lukashenka.
Lukashenka himself called the experience of other countries "coronapsychosis," allowing himself mocking statements regarding those who died from COVID-19 (he emphasized that only overweight people and those who did not take care of their health died).
The politician advised Belarusians to treat themselves with vodka, a bathhouse, and a tractor.
By the way, Alyona Lanskaya herself notes that just four days after her father's death, on December 21, 2020, she gave a solo concert. Presumably, the singer was not very concerned about how many people might contract COVID-19 during her performance at the Minsk concert hall (designed for approximately 1300 seats).
«I am not asking for sympathy or pity, just be above earthly problems and prioritize something high and spiritual. That which fills your soul», — Alyona Lanskaya shared personally.
