5G connectivity started to be enabled in Minsk

The first 5G mobile communication zone was recently launched in the center of Minsk. This was announced by the Minister of Communications and Informatization Kiryl Zaleski, his words are quoted by BelTA.

According to Zaleski, the ministry hears the wishes of Belarusians to expand fixed and mobile communications.

"The speed of mobile internet will increase fourfold on average in the next five years," he emphasized.

Recall that from May 9 to 11, a 5G mobile communication network already operated in Minsk in test mode. It was tested by MTS and the sole infrastructure operator of 4G and 5G networks in Belarus — the beCloud company.
