"My mother had a brain hemorrhage. The stroke happened today in front of Yan. They were home alone. We arrived in 10 minutes. Mom was operated on. She is paralyzed. Not regaining consciousness. Convulsions. They said there's little chance. Whoever can, please pray," Katsiaryna Vadanosava wrote.

More than a year ago, the TV presenter's mother left Belarus due to pressure from the KGB and sought international protection. Recently, she lived with her daughter's family in Białystok.
In autumn, the Polish border service decided to deport her to Lithuania due to bureaucratic misunderstandings: the authorities did not take into account that her international protection case was still under consideration and a court hearing had been scheduled. Later, the deportation was cancelled.
The reason for the deportation threat was that the woman entered Poland on a Lithuanian visa. This is related to the so-called Dublin Regulation, which determines which country is responsible for examining an application for asylum or international protection.
