Russian battalion commander argued with his superior and disappeared forever. The latter eventually confessed to the murder — but was later shot dead himself
Z-bloggers tell about the peculiarities of relationships in the Russian army.

One of the people in the photo is Yury "Sivy" Burakov, killed by his own
The commander of the 2nd rifle battalion of the 95th regiment, Yury "Sivy" Burakov, disappeared on July 28, 2025, after managing to inform his wife that he had been summoned by the commander of the 95th regiment of the 5th brigade of the 51st army, Dmitry "Starina" Ivankevich.
After that, Sivy was never seen again. His wife and friends started looking for him, but the commander, the same Starina, said that Sivy had left the unit without permission. As a result, the Russian Military Prosecutor's Office got involved, writes Z-blogger Pyotr Lundstrem.
What turned out?
On August 11, 2025, Starina wrote a confession and admitted to killing Sivy. He indicated the burial place, but clarified that after the commotion, he had already managed to rebury him.
In September, a criminal case was finally opened against the regimental commander — a month after the confession of murder! — but they decided not to detain him.
However, in November, Starina was found with four bullet wounds — two to the head, two to the heart.
Who decided to take revenge on him is unknown.
"Starina is killed, but two other alleged accomplices to the murder, who helped him cover up the crime, have still not been brought to justice," laments Z-blogger Pyotr Lundstrem.
