On Saturday, January 10, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv during the day. In the capital of Ukraine, the operation of water supply, heat supply, and electric transport systems stopped. This was reported by the city administration, noting that "Ukrenergo" gave the command for the emergency shutdown, writes "Current Time".
The outages are related to the consequences of Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Kyiv was hit on the night of January 9, after which electricity supply disruptions occurred, and about half of the apartment buildings were left without heat, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. After repair work, heat supply was partially restored. Earlier, Klitschko urged Kyiv residents who have such an opportunity to temporarily leave the city if there are alternative sources of heat and energy in their country houses.
The head of the Kyiv Oblast administration, Timur Tkachenko, noted on the afternoon of January 10, approximately an hour after the announcement of emergency outages, that specialists had managed to solve the problem, and soon Kyiv would return to scheduled outages.
